Three school children who live in St Helen’s near Liverpool were given the task to raise awareness of their chosen charity and fundraise for that charity within school. Alyssa, aged 9, pictured here on the right has a cousin in Kent who has Down’s syndrome, so along with her friends Libby and Olivia they decided to fundraise for 21 Together.
Over many weeks, they prepared and practised their factual and informative talk about Down’s syndrome and then delivered it during an assembly. They organised a raffle in school and also put in some money from their own money boxes! Altogether they raised an amazing £47.23
The money will help us to continue delivering vital training in Kent, providing support and raising awareness of Down’s syndrome.
Libby, Olivia and Alyssa – you are an inspiration! Thank you for all your hard work.
